Mirage
2000-5 Rebuild
Research and development of avioncs
The Mirage project required reading hundreds of pages of documents, photos, drawings and manuals to learn the avionics layout. The project was even more difficult because the fuselage of an older version of the aircraft was being rebuilt, so in addition to accuracy, we had to adjust the dimensions of the panels to the existing structure. This required several corrections. The MIP frame was created using steel elements and TIG welding. The hud block was printed using 3D printers and supplemented with laser-cut elements.
It was a big lesson when the amount of available documentation was very low, we had to use contacts from the aviation industry and the ordering party was very supportive, trying to provide the maximum amount of information about the airframe and avionics. The project lasted 8 months in total, we will soon see the final result of the work
